Ceibwr and Cwm Trewyddell

The Walk

Distance - approx. 3.5 miles
Terrain - Steep uphill, muddy tracks and woodland paths
(Opportunity for tea break at Garden Centre on route)

a)    From Ceibwr follow the coastal path north towards Cemaes Head (0.5m)

b)   At cliff top and by the coastal bungalow, instead of following the coastal path, keep right to the main lane/track until reaching a dairy farm which straddles across your way (0.5m)

c)    Turn immediately right on to the track before the main barns and farmhouse. Continue along this track which may be very muddy in places ,after prolonged heavy rain. Keep to the main track by the Cwm Connel Holiday Cottages and continue until reaching the road (0.75m)

d)     At the road turn right for a short distance and turn onto the picnic site on your right. Look for the stile in the far corner. Climb over the style and make your way across the field to the garden centre - and that promised cup of tea (0.25m)

e)      Leave the garden centre via the main access drive to the road. and turn right downhill. This will take you to a double bend. At the second bend you go straight on into the woodland glade that is Cwm Trewyddell. Follow through this delightful glen back to Ceibwr bay where you commenced your walk.
